This TRAIN bird feeder is a handcrafted, VERY detailed, painted item that can be hung or post mounted. It is a cute, old fashion train design with a front scoop scoop, steam stack, front light, rivets, and wheels. To fill with seed, simply lift off the roof cap and pour the seed right in. This feeder holds approx 2-3 lbs of seed and the birds feed from the front & back. A hanging cord is attached so, when it arrives, it will be ready for use.
THIS DESIGN IS ALSO AVAILABLE AS A BIRDHOUSE. With a birdfeeder, you add seed and birds come to eat. In a birdhouse, the house is closed up on the sides, there is an entrance hole in the front, and a bird will build it's nest inside in order to lay eggs and raise their young until they are ready for flight. If you prefer the HOUSE version instead, just indicate that to us upon payment. We will reconfirm all specifics in our followup emails.
